Winchester Kung Fu and Taiji Association based in Johannesburg offers a unique training opportunity for Chinese martial art practitioners.  At this school students are able to train under three experts in their field of martial art: Sifu Raymond Keung (Jow Ga), Shifu A.K. Baynes (Taiji) and Sifu Mark van den Berg (Long Fist, White Crane, Hung Gar, Chin na).

Sifu Mark started his Chinese martial art training in 1978 at Lee’s Kung Fu School in Johannesburg where he learnt Hung Gar.  Later he trained in the Lin Wan Kune style, where he learnt short range combat, and competed in various national tournaments.  Deciding to further his studies he started training the Long Fist and White Crane systems.  Through this training, Sifu Mark became proficient in the art of Chin na (joint locks).  In 2006 he began training in the Jow Ga system under Sifu Raymond Keung.  This led to an affiliation with Sifu Raymond in order to promote this Chinese martial art in South Africa.
